VCC, Inc. will be holding it's play today! The children have been working hard practicing their lines and designing their costumes for this big day and are excited to show their family and friends all of their hard work. We will also be holding our Pre-K Graduation at the end. Parents and families please go directly to the cafeteria for this event.
Victory Child Care, Inc. will be closed on Monday, January 15th for Martin Luther Kings' Day.
As part of the fun curriculum, and in an effort to tie in all things creepy, crawly and Halloween-y, the children will be studying Spiders and having a celebration of their studies! Parents are welcome and encouraged to join us! We encourage parents to bring in a costume by the morning of Halloween.
Otto the Auto is visiting VCC, Inc. to extend our transportation unit in the classroom. He is joining us to talk about car safety and how to play safely outside - what to watch out for, how to cross the street, etc. It is an exciting event that the children really enjoy! Otto the Auto will be at FMS at 9:00am and then at Pine Bush at 10:15am!

She now teaches dance to people of all ages. She will be coming to the classrooms on Tuesday mornings. She will start at Altamont Elementary School at 8:30am so make sure to be on-time that day! We will be celebrating with NAEYC this year. We will do Music Monday, Tasty Tuesday, Work Together Wednesday, Artsy Thursday, and Family Friday. We will also be inviting mystery readers to come in all week long, this can be parents, grandparents, siblings, etc. Bring your favorite book from home to share or pick one of ours! Watch for sign-ups in each classroom as we get closer. Each classroom will also be making their own classroom book, this book will celebrate families and what they do at home together. Each family will be asked to make a page together at home and bring it in to help make the book. We will then read it together during the Family Friday celebration. And there will be posters outside of each classroom, so that you can write to your child’s teacher a note of appreciation of their fine work with your child. It will be an exciting week for all! Finally, we will celebrate our children that have read 100 books since September. 100 books certifications will be handed out and those children will receive special recognition for their efforts. If your family has made sure that your children read 120 books on your own (without the use of our lending library), please let us know so that we can celebrate their achievement too!
